Outback '01 2.5 4eat VDC project

So couple years ago i bought myself my first subaru ever and after long time thinking took outback against forester. Didint had budget for newer one so went for some 2nd gen that i found

It was 2001 subaru outback 2.5 4eat eith rear LSD and early VDC package. All weather with heated seats, windows, climate control.
It has rear self leveling shocks still ok condition so i left them just put 2" spacer on top. Not sure is it made car harder and less comfy but it can take load very well. But its not soft car to drive fast on bad roads
Then i cut front bumper and put steel skid plate just for engine. Diy it myself from steel sheet from scrapyard

I've never seen a latest model land rover/ranger rover perform better than a Subaru in terms of traction control. Many times ive seen a late model rover struggle up a soft steep incline, when i climb it easy. Sure a land rover might have better ground clearance. But I'd take my forester any day.

watch from 25 min . new hybrid Range Rover with electric motor and 2.0 petrol engine seems like they made it just for city driving, but how he climbs in snow hill there against land cruisers there. just put right tires on it air down and it goes

dont think any subaru with their low power could do anything there.

frozen snow. its hard on top so car drives on top some but when it sinks down its hard to get out. was torturing VDC till it was even overheated couple times, ECU just switched VDC off untill its cool off.

my VDC test in snow. going as slow as i can to make VDC work hardest . wanted to see myself from side how it works and what it do. thats early VDC system on 200-2004 outback models. from 2005 they got only TC button not VDc button which is better because it doesnt cut engine power as here and leaves ABS braking still.

I haven't been in a VDC Subaru yet and I can't find online if it is a separate module but it would be a very good idea to put a heat sink or a fan to whatever module is controlling it to prevent overheating. Cheers.

so maybe just add better radiator like separate one for 4eat gearbox. ? thought not sure whats overheated there , like gearbox still works just ABS and VDC doesnt. so maybe its just ABS overheated then. yes i didint found info what is VDC is it separate module is it inside 4eat maybe or where.

I remember seeing very similar stuff being used by Engineers during my military service.

If the AT temp light did not flash or turn on when it overheated, it must be the module. It is not clear though where the VDC module is but according to some, it is in the ABS and traction control.

Regarding the steel recovery tracks, I used those when I was using real 4x4s as we didn't have all the fancy things 25 years ago. They work as intended and they don't break.

Yeh these days they make those styles aluminum tracks but all those hardcore 4x4 guys still use those steel ones. In WW they made airplane landing tracks from them

flexing on sand... still last snow here and there but mostly all soft allready

i thought in couple places that i wont make it to top. i saw tracks from someone trying it and going just to middle hill , so it tried with 1gear fixed and with VDC , and from second try it went up no prob and then did it 5 or 6 times again and again, was cool car didint sinked down because it didint stopped. in places where i stopped and then tried to move it was just going down. so back up and try again and it climbed . and i turned off climate control and switched to petrol. so it would get all power it can. on LPG it goes ok too but on petrol it gives more revs and seems more happy to rev. i did put better petrol in car so that maybe helped too.
