The Impreza RS rally cars apparently went really well. A mate of mine sourced tensioners for me locally. Same as genuine, just not genuine prices, ex Japan. Why not a 2.5 quad? You must have a fair bit of blow by if you are already needing a catch can? Get a water pump too. What sort of compression are you going to run, also fuel, ECU? Sounds interesting anyway, will follow with interest. Do none of the local cams guys do cams for these things?
With E85 soon available, why not go even harde on the compression and build the engine for that fuel. Blow by has become a real issue in our WRX club and some believe it may be sump related- testing continues. Something is not right when you put a new sump on and the car fills a 2 lite catch can in 3 laps of Wakefield Pk. What sort of coil overs, cage etc? I may have stopped being actively involved in rallying but it is still a great sport and the technical side still interests me. Interesting to hear more of this car as you go
Bought a new set of headlight protectors today due to loosing one in a deep, deep creek crossing at the w-end (long story)![]()

When I got home & opened the box (due to the incompetence of the person who labeled them with the wrong part number) they were the wrong ones weren't they.

I've now got to take them back to get the right ones.
Honestly, how hard is it to get these things right.

Sprayed the upper cylinder cleaner in yesterday- what a difference that made. Car is far more driveable.
I know how you feel mate.It always a 'downer' (and Aussies, especially South Australians, will know that is no good thing! :iconwinkwhen something that is supposed to fit doesn't.
