SG2 to SG1 centre armrest swap?

does anyone know if the later SG centre armrest with 2 cupholders is a direct fit into the early SG?

Do you still have armrests on the seats?

That looks quite different from the armrest/centre console in my 2006 Forester. Mine only has one cup holder - but it's a d/r manual. Can't find a photo ATM.

Manual vs Auto have 1 vs 2 cup holders, due to the DR lever. However, the main difference between pre and post facelift is the arm rest part, which the pre facelift model doesn't have.

I'm still on the hunt. A few people have done the swap,

finally got my hands on a late SG armrest. I pulled out my early SG for a side by side comparison. 6 cupholders vs 4 .
If anyone is going to do the same make sure you also get the mounting plate which is held on by 3 bolts
I'm going to add USB charging ports to the switch blanks while I have it out.
