Outback and back

Great report.

The Mount Imlay road is fantastic on a motorcycle.

There are some great tracks to explore south of Eden out to Green Cape Lighthouse.

This is the sort of thing I love to read about, it makes my boring day at work so much more enjoyable....makes me feel like I've been on a trip myself.

Ah - the generosity of Cubby Station!
(though I have to admit that there was more water going over the weir at Bourke, so the rest must have been soaked up by the Menindee lakes and other irrigators.)

We did a trip from Melbourne up the Darling to Bourke and back 3 years ago. The flow over this weir (from the River Drive in Kinchega?) was much the same. We fell in love with the Darling, mistreated and run down though it was. We camped at Copi Hollow for 4 nights (the lake was full) and a couple of nights at Kallara Station on the banks of the river. The dawn chorus was wonderful.

I love your photos - it looks like you had a great trip.
 
No matter how many times I revisit this one, I still love reading it and looking at the pics....

Probably looked at it several times over the past few years.

awesome pictures mate... your making me wanting to do that trip... lucky you survived in EL or (EF) Falcon!
Subaru would help you with that kind of trip in the future!
