Hello all, I'm new to the forum and planning a summer trip to Alaska from Tennessee. Our Outback is bone stock and I hope to get some recommendations on mods that may make the trip more enjoyable. I plan on adding a roof box to free up as much space as possible inside and AT LT tires. I would also like to add a bumper/light bar up front with a few lights. Any suggestions on those add ons or other recommendations we be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your advice.
Cheers

Well, I just recommended to someone on the OB forum to post instead here. Conversely, I would say that you may want to ask that particular question on the OB forum!

As for Alaska, I do not know. I hope to do that trip in a few years. I guess it all depends on how far from pavement you plan to go.

Here is what I just wrote on that other site about things we carry/feel like carrying.

If we do go to Alaska, we will be pulling our Pulmor trailer. Roof cargo carrier is nice but a little annoying to use every day. We have an 18 cu ft one, SportsRack, cheap but solid.
