Badge of Ownership

https://www.subaru.com/badgeofownership/index.html

NO FAIR!!! Its for US only :(:madred::yell::furious:

So... the call goes out to all aussie subie owners...email Subaru Australia & tell em how much you love your Subaru & would LOVE to get a badge of ownership

I will also be suggesting an offroad badge

Here is the link:
https://subaru.com.au/contact-us.

(US members could also write in saying how much they like theirs & how they dont understand how Subaru Australia is so far behind the US :p
...a little kick up the **** might help them lol)

Shoot me a PM with your vin #. I know you'll need that to get the badge. I can try getting it sent to me, then forward it on to you if you wanted to give it a whirl.

If this works I'd be willing to help someone out too.

Welp, we already know the Vin#'s over there won't be valid, as Nacha already tried, but i have a solution  . I'll let you know if it works out.

I can give either a Japanese or Aus VIN number, I've had 9 registered in my name & half owned about another 4 or 5 but really only used 3 for any length of time, I wonder what number I'd use?

You can try the Japanese one, but since they aren't registered to the US, i'm not sure if it will work out. We could start a list on here of people in Australia wanting one & maybe some of us over here can help out.

I'd say 14 then. I wonder what the people at the badge place would say lol ;)

The lack of an off-road choice is the main reason I haven't paid much attention to these badges. All the available activities that you would engage in without your Subie, as opposed to IN your Subie.

I bet the people over on NASIOC are clamoring for a drag-racing badge... :lildevil:

While we're at it, why not a water-fording badge, and a mud-bogging badge? And one for sand-driving and another for snow-driving? :raz:

Got that right. Instead they want to have badges for "gardening" and holding hands. really! should that have to do with lovin a Subaru!?

I had assumed that it was all to do with the alleged popularity of Subaru in the US with some who have an affinity with a certain Greek island... ;)

I'll put my hand up for one or all of these, if they were available, thats for sure :discomonkey:

Me too, but it's a bit pointless since my rear wheel carrier and jerry can carrier would be in the way :rolleyessarcastic:

Cheers

You hit the nail right on the head, Barry!

Here on ORS, they even have their own smilie: :raspberry: !

:lildevil:

All of this said, I have no issue with anybody's genetic makeup or personal affinities. (Quite the opposite.) All I want is an "Off-road" badge of honor! May have to lobby SoA once I get back to the States next year. Or make up a version myself.

Carl: Maybe you could machine a nice Off-road Badge of Honor out of billet aluminum? :bling:

Anything is possible.:iconwink: I have a new milling machine at work that would be capable of such a thing, but for some reason they haven't gotten me the computer that I need to program it with.:madred: I'll let you know when I have the abilities, then we can have a design contest.:)
