hey all,
new to the forum but its great to find a subie community online! I have an 01 Legacy with a SLO 4inch subframe drop, racework Coilovers, & running 225/70/15s. I am looking to pull my stock bumper off and rig up this Ford Ranger bully bumper to it (link below as well as a photo of my car). looking for suggestions if anyone is familiar with this and or what should I look for to mount it properly to the frame. I'm assuming I just need to measure mounting holes on each and get a L-bracket or something similar to mount it together. Any help would be much appreciated! thank you!

I know on the 2006 -> the body mounting point are extremely strong with about 6mm steel end plates and 50x50mm connecting bar between them.

However, this is part of the after-market bar made specifically for the car.

This then bolts on to the body mounting points for the original OEM polycarbonate bumper.

This may help you - Bar made by SubaXtreme specifically for Gen3 legacy/Gen2 outback.

If I recall - this was just bolted onto the standard (AUDM) crash bar. I pulled it off at a pick-n-pull wreckers, but sold it on and never mounted it myself.

USDM crash bar may (or may not) be different.

Here's what our crash bar looks like in Oz. The fitting instructions here (https://www.subaxtreme.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/OB-042.pdf). Fairly sure you removed the crash bar (four holes to access nuts left and right side), then it mounted to the same pair of four studs with the angled brackets you can see in above picture.

Ok - found this on the web. It shows all angles of that front bar which unbolts. Both the AUDM (==EUDM?) beefy version, and JDM wimpy version.

yep - I think subaxtreme stopped making them quite some years back.

Sort of bummed I didn't keep it - think it sold to a member here, who was soon after involved in an accident and the bar got totalled :(. (member was ok).
