I want Halogen bulbs that are both bright and have a life the equivalent of OEM.
The Osram Rallye 65 H7 seem to be the go.
Are there any ORS members - esp here in Aus -who would be interested in a bulk buy?
Seems that the only supplier is in the USA. Would be dependent on a realistic shipping price.

So, anyone else interested?

there is actually the Osram headquarters a town over from me,
Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. USA
My wife and myself have been in talking of shipping our OB's over to aussie for a vacation and thought maybe a bunch of us ORS members could go offroad and you guys could show off your trails! maybe i could just bring the lighting with me.

Osrams
Any chance of checking what you can get them for - I'm guessing you might want some for your Outback as well - and cost of postage to Aus, might be others interested in a group buy. I'd be happy to do the distribution from this end.
ORS International 'Meet' Downunder.
Would be great to see you out here, however I doubt that it would be cost effective to bring your Outback.
Should be able to pick up a decent Outback here (00 vintage or newer) for ~10 - 12,000 $AUD. and sell for similar price at the end of your trip.
That may sound expensive by US standards, however car prices here seem dearer than the US, from what I see on the 'boards'. Either way, it would probably be a whole lot cheaper than the freight for your car to Australia and return!
With the savings you could purchase goodies like SubaXtreme front and rear bars and freight them home and still come out in front!
Maybe even take home a dual ratio transmission... :lildevil:

There is also the issue of having a LHD car in a RHD country. I've seen a rare few LHD cars here and have wondered how they would ever overtake someone on a country road! Any used car would have to go through quarantine because Australia is free of many diseases found elsewhere in the world. But it would be great to have you come on some of the dirt tracks around here- assuming you came to Sydney of course! No doubt the ORS guys in other states would look after you as well. We have already had one US visitor whom we took on a trip over the mountains so you won't be the first.

Pre-organise a built dual range and drop it in while you're here! That would top it off!!

Yeah true that but where's the fun in not doing it in your own subi?? I'd love to do an around the world trip in Ruby Scoo

Where's the fun in that? Install it while you're here and give it a spin before you head home :lildevil: Then take another home for a project or to recoup some costs of your trip - small I know but it would help!

As for the lights - I'm going to have a go at the wiring trick in the L series first, then look at globes ;)

Cheers
