This is cool!!!

This paint technology has been around for several years now but it hasn't been widely used. It's headed in the right direction but it's not there yet as there's several issues with it that people aren't generally made aware of.

- It only works if the scratch doesn't penetrate the clear coat.
- It requires heat for the healing process. Sun or heat lamp etc. Not a problem as such until you're unaware car detailer uses an electric buffer which generates too much heat and damages the surface.
- Can't be blended with other clears.
- Most importantly, unless this has changed of late, it can't be repaired. In the case of an accident or serious scratch the whole panel has to be stripped and repaired with a normal clear, the self repairing clear isnt available to repair shops.

It's still cool stuff but not as good as it initially sounds.
