We made another trip out Dos Cabezas Rd this past weekend. This time we camped near the RR Water Tower.

I only broke my Forester a little bit. Driving through some deep ruts, I broke a largish rock loose, it hit my rear swaybar and pushed it up against the passenger side bleeder valve.

Great trip otherwise. Lots of good times. Some really fun roads. I even slept in the back of my wagon.. not bad and I'm 6' tall.

Good pics thanks - I see you stopped to smell the flowers ;-)

The southern California desert is crazy right now. So many blooms!

AZ, too. Do you use any 4x4 guides at all? For California I have the old but comprehensive Massey SoCal book. If so, which trails have you driven? I am much more interested in Utah/CO, but some day I will get to Anza B, too...

No, I do not use guides. I grew up camping out there, so I've been down some of the roads.. others I use https://www.dirtopia.com/wiki/San_Diego_County,_California to research.

Google Maps with satellite view turned on is another way I obsess over a dirt road.. ha!
