Plastic fuel tank replacement?

Just wondering if it's possible to buy a plastic fuel tank to replace the metal one on a 2003 SG Forester. Current metal one is rusty on the inside and will probably need to be replaced.

Only plastic ones I know of are in a Falcons, doubtful they would fit.
 
I was watching Black As the other night. they went fine with a jerry can and a bit of hose.

It was a John Deere though.:lildevil:
 
Why not replace with a second hand tank from the same model?

No complications, still compliant, and should be inspected to ensure it's in good condition. I highly doubt all tanks of this model and age are in the same condition as yours.

Pick up one from a wrecker... that one of yours looked like someone filled it with salt water
