Hi guys

Here's my dilemma. I want a new set of off-road wheels and tyres for my 2003 Outback H6 but I also want to future proof them for my planned late model Forester XT (prob 2017/18) in a couple of years.

I have done the research and know that 215/65/16 Yoko GO15s will fit my current H6, however 16 inch rims won't fit over the XT callipers so I'm having to go for a 17 inch wheel in 5x100pcd.

Looking at willtheyfit.com it seems the only 17inch size i can get to fit is a 215/60/17, which is the same size as the 215/65/16. Looks like that size is available in GO15 and the Grabber AT3. Anyone know of any others?

The final issue is the offset. The stock wheels on my OB are 6.5inch/ET48 but the new ones will be 7.5 inch. I want to reduce the offset to fill out the arches so I'm thinking of a ET38 which will give me an extra 20mm or so.

Has anyone run this setup before and did you get any rubbing? I hear Method wheels have a very low offset so i'm hoping this will work. Cheers

PS I have seen this vid with a guy running 225/60/17 but he had a 2 inch lift

Has anyone ran these tyres at stock height?
