Just wondering if anyone is interested in this. We are currently making a prototype. If there is enough interest, I will look at having more made. Basically it is mounted onto an existing tow bar crossbar member under the rear bumper skin. Unit is very strong and neat. The reason I have gone down this road is because my atr tyres will no longer fit in the rear wheel well also I run a dual battery setup with fridge and utilize the space.
I am based in Melbourne. |

Hello Juleslee, and welcome to ORS!
Would your wheel carrier also fit an 06 Outback with a factory towbar? I don't know where the crossbars are on the Outback compared to the Forester.

^ I don't think you can fit 2 tyres across the back.
Guys, keep in mind that tail light and number plate visibility comes into play with carriers on the rear. When I went from just having a rear bar (with no extra tail/indicator/stop lights) and added the carriers, the extra lights were also added to the rear bar for compliance. The number plate was moved to the jerry can carrier.
