How can i make my engine water proof? I am getting sick of replacing air filters. I have all the pipe, bends and clamps to make a snorkle. Its all SS pipe, with .25in thick rubber bends as well as SS hose clamps to go with. But i don't understand how to make the pipe stay along my door line without welding it on.

I just used some "make-a-bracket" and attached with a couple of self-tappers behind the trim. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Just make sure the piping is airtight, otherwise they can suck the water in. In worst case scenario, they could also even fall off as you drive away. Not that that would ever happen. Well, maybe once.

Also, petrol engines will always have issues with water diesel engines do not, all else being equal.

As Rally said, just make sure its airtight & you should be ok. :iconwink:

And if it does, just casually pick it up & toss it in the back of your vehicle for next time. :rotfl:
