Question Dash top compass and mount

Looking for a dashboard/top compass with illumination. Some one suggested Suunto but I could not find one that mounts to a dash top.

I have all the gps doo-dads but I'd rather something discretely...

The hold button can be used as a 'change up' button. When the gearbox is cold you can get it change up at 1800 rpm instead of 3100 rpm by flicking the hold button ON/OFF at the desired change point....

Agreed, I must admit my reasoning is based on the 2004 4EAT with EBD + LSD with no VDC or ABS traction control installed. So beyond 2004 I'm probably not relevant here.. :)
